Sub Rosa: Webmail interface supports server side GPG/PGP message encryption, their servers are located outside the EU and do not store any logs, service can be accessed with Tor using a dedicated .onion address.

Countermail: Supports OpenPGP encryption and digital signatures for webmail, it also hides your IP on the headers, servers located in Sweden.

Posteo: Cheap privacy email service in Germany that aims to keep customer to the minimum and comes preconfigured to use Mailvelope, a free plugin to send encrypted PGP mail.

StartMail: Made by the same company that manages privacy search engine StartPage. This email service is based in the Netherlands and the interface allows you to encrypt and decrypt emails using PGP.

4SecureMail: Support for wemail PGP encryption and signing, all emails get scanned with a ICSA-Certified antivirus, your computer IP is hidden and not forwarded with the messages.

HushMail: Web based support for PGP encryped email and digital signatures, computer IP hidden in the headers, company headquarters based in Canada.

SecureNym: Public/private key email encryption and digital signatures support.

Safe-Mail: Israeli company supporting PGP email encryption and digital signatures as well as using of digital certificates for sending encrypted messages using the web interface. Safe-Mail DOES NOT  hide your computer IP on the headers.

NeoMailBox: Supports OpenPGP encryption and digital signatures, it will hide your IP on the headers and you can choose to host your email in the US or Switzerland.

KeptPrivate: All of your email messages are kept encrypted in their servers using the Blowfish algorithm, no support for PGP, the person you are emailing to will need a KeptPrivate email account too in order to sent emails encrypted.

Bmail: From VPN provider VP.net, this e-mail service has end to end encrypted PGP, encrypted calendar and file storage. Everything is zero knowledge from the provider.

AsterMail: End to end encrypted e-mail hosted in Germany, they make it easy to switch providers by importing your Gmail or Yahoo and have allow custom domain names.

Atomic Mail: Estonian company offering a zero access encrypted inbox with encryption taking place locally in your device.

Gnoppix: Private e-mail service created by the developers of the privacy Gnoppix Linux distribution. End to end encryption with PGP and audited source code, service includes file storage and online calendar.

E-mail clients supporting OpenPGP encryption

Claws Mail: Claws Mail supports GnuPG email encryption and decryption installing the GPG plugin. This is a multi platform email client, it works in Windows and Linux.

KMail and Evolution: KMail is the KDE Linux e-mail client and Evolution the GNOME supported mail and calendar client, they both OpenPGP compliant e-mail if you integrate it with GnuPG.

Sylpheed: Open source multi platform email client and newsgroup reader supporting GnuPG email encryption.

Thunderbird: To use GnuPG email encryption with Thunderbird you will need to add the free Enigmail plugin.

Software to encrypt emails using GPG/PGP

MailVelope: Browser extension that works with webmail services, it can be used to create your own encryption keys as well as encrypting, signing and decrypting messages.

GPG4Win: Windows GnuPG software for email and file encryption, you will need gnupg to make it work, this comes included in the package.

GnuPG: GnuPG, also known as GPG, is a command line tool for GPG encryption, you will need a front end GUI unless you are willing to use command line from C: to encrypt your emails.

Note that you only need to upload your public key to one of the servers and it will propagate to all the others, also note that all of the PGP/GnuPG encryption software comes with some predefined keyservers where to get encryption keys from.

Alternative to email encryption

InterNxt Send: Website to encrypt and send private email messages and files, open source application, it secures your messages before uploading them the server and you can then send a link to your contact who will need to know the password beforehand.

Wormhole: Encryption is only end to end and for files but if you want is anonymity this service has a Linux app and they support the Tor browser, you will no be blocked for using Tor.

CryptFile: Client-side file and text encryption tool, everything is processed in your device, the unbreakable algorithm AES256 is used for encryption, the tool is open source and auditable.

ShareDrop: Part of Limewire, anonymous user files expire in 7 days and have download limitations, this can be removed with registration. The file can be edited too.

Privatebin: A minimalist Pastebin where the server has zero knowledge of the stored data, everything is encrypted and decrypted in the browser with AES256. This is a fork of Zerobin.

SwissTransfer: From Swiss e-mail provider Infomaniak, their online service allows you to upload a file and share the link with others to download, however they don’t encrypt the file in your browser, this depends on you. Their Kpaste service does the same but with text.

Send: A fork of the defunct Firefox send service, it can be used to share files with end-to-end encryption and a link that automatically expires.

Note: The services above may log your computer IP when you send an email, the IP might not be included in the message header but it can be recovered from the server logs in case of abuse.
